Every message you send has one job: to get an answer back to you. Nothing is added to a marketing list, and no newsletter is sent from this address.
Replying to you
Contact form submissions and emails are used to answer the message you sent.
Applying corrections
If you send a correction, we use the details to verify the point and apply the fix to the page.
Planning guides
If you suggest a topic, we use the message to plan future zero waste tips and guides.

Contact form messages and emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve the query, and then for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up. After the retention period, messages are deleted.

Deletion does not undo a page correction you asked for, because the published guide is separate from the correspondence.

Ask us to pause processing while a question is looked into, or object to the legitimate-interest basis for handling a message. We reply with the outcome.
Withdrawing consent for an optional feature stops that processing from that point on.
Send rights requests through the Contact page with enough detail for us to find your message. We may ask one clarifying question to confirm we are looking at the right record before acting.

Data sent through the contact form is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on services used to run the site. We choose providers that apply reasonable security measures, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
